SARDEGNA : SELVAGGIO BLU 7 days in May 2023
13-20/05, 20-27/05

The SELVAGGIO BLU is a demanding trek that takes place in the stretch of coast that goes from PEDRA LONGA to CALA SISINE, all included in the territory of BAUNEI.
Conceived in the 1980s by two Italian mountaineers Mario Verin and Peppino Cicalò, who wisely linked the paths of the old shepherds of Baunei, with sections of ancient mule tracks of the late 19th century charcoal burners.
Over the years, thanks above all to the work of local guides, the Selvaggio Blu has become a trek for true connoisseurs.

FIRST DAY
Arrival at Olbia airport, organized transfer with local collaborator from Olbia to Cala Gonone. Lunch at the Bed & Breakfast for overnight stay (not included in the price), in the afternoon you go through Codula di Fuili (dry canyon of about 2 hours) to reach the sea.
The cost of the Bed & Breakfast is € 50.00 per person (à la carte dinner with a choice of fish, overnight stay in a double room and breakfast)

FIRST STAGE
From Pedra Longa you reach Porta Pedrosu. Start of the Selvaggio Blu.
We start with a backpack prepared for two days. The stage is not demanding, except for some orientation difficulties and a couple of technical passages. The duration of the stage is about 6 hours, where you will cover the entire Giradili ridge up to skirt Punta Ginnircu, and then reach two key passages: Bacu Tenadili to then follow the path characterized by the splendid scenery, which leads to Portu Pedrosu where it climbs an overnight camp

SECOND STAGE
From Portu Pedrosu to Punta Salinas.
A slightly more demanding stage of about 8 hours of walking and with a difference in height of 565 meters above sea level. You follow a path that leads you to bypass several gorges and walls overlooking the sea, until you reach the beautiful panoramic point of Punta Salinas, from where you can admire the splendid panorama of the Gulf of Orosei which frames the beautiful Cala Goloritzè and the majestic Garfish overlooking the sea.
The overnight stay is held by a local shepherd where you can enjoy a rich dinner and enjoy the various stories of the shepherd on the historical memory of the area.

THIRD STAGE
From Punta Salinas to Bacu Modaloru.
From Punta Salinas, after about an hour’s walk, you reach the town of Boladina, the gateway to the extraordinary path of the homonymous gorge. At the end of the gorge you reach the Cuiles di Serra Lattone and after a difference in height of about 150 meters above sea level you reach the extraordinary panoramic ridges of Serra Lattone.
Arriving at the end of the ridge, there is a passage that takes us up to a drop of 18 meters, which allows you to reach the beautiful town of Modaloru.
Once arrived at the destination, the camp is set up for the night waiting for the suggestive sunrise over the sea.

FOURTH STAGE
From Bacu Modaloru to Ololbizzi.
The shortest stage of the Selvaggio Blu: from Bacu Modaloru you go up a stony ground until you reach the path that reaches the splendid scenery of Bacu Padente above the Grotta del Fico (time permitting it can also be visited). You then reach the locality Su Feilau on the edge of the locality called Ololbizzi. In this particular field, there will be a collaborator complete with an off-road vehicle who will bring everything you need to take a well-deserved shower.

FIFTH STAGE
From Ololbizzi to Cala Sisine.
Certainly the most spectacular stage that leads to the splendid beach of Cala Sisine. The path of the Selvaggio Blu ends with a walk of about 7 hours, where several abseils and some exposed climbs will take place, but well protected by insurance chains.
Reached Cala Sisine, and after a long and well-deserved swim, we go to the off-road vehicle that will lead us in the direction of Golgo and on the way back.
