The Porta Nera (Schwarztor) descent is a classic high-mountain itinerary for those seeking an exciting and evocative freeride experience in the heart of the Monte Rosa massif.

Accompanied by the Cervino Guides, you will experience a unique journey through majestic glacial landscapes, secluded couloirs, and often untouched snow, in a grand and wild high-altitude environment.

Departure from Cervinia by cable car to the Piccolo Cervino

Short but scenic skin ascent (approx. 30 minutes) to the Porta Nera Pass at 3,730 m

Long and unforgettable descent of more than 1,500m of vertical drop amongst ice, wide basins and some more technical elements towards the upper valley above Zermatt
