4 outings to learn to move safely in winter mountain environments

A complete course for those who want to start ski mountaineering or refine their technique. Over four practical outings, the Cervino Guides will introduce you to this fascinating discipline, teaching uphill and downhill techniques, equipment use and risk management in winter mountain environments.

From correct skinning techniques to avalanche self-rescue, including route selection and terrain reading, each outing is designed to provide practical skills and increase your autonomy.

The final weekend includes an overnight stay in a mountain hut, offering a full high-altitude experience.

Program Details

The course includes four outings chosen by the Cervino Guides in Valtournenche and surrounding areas, depending on weather and snow conditions. Daily elevation gain ranges from 600 to 900 meters, adjusted according to the group’s level. Routes are suitable for beginners in ski mountaineering, even those on their first outings.
