2 days to discover and experience the magic of frozen waterfalls

An immersive course designed for those who want to approach ice climbing for the first time or refine their technique in a winter environment. Over three intense and engaging days, the Cervino Guides will accompany you step by step in learning the fundamental techniques of ice climbing, the correct use of equipment, and the rules of safety in the alpine environment.

The days will take place at the Ice Park of Perrères, an ideal and controlled setting to build confidence with crampons and ice axes.

Format: Three consecutive days or spread out (depending on the schedule)

Location: Ice Park of Perrères (Valtournenche) + final outing on a frozen waterfall

Experience required: None. Suitable for beginners and intermediates.

What you will learn:

  • Ice climbing techniques on different types of terrain
  • Proper use of ice axes
  • Correct placement of ice screws
  • Belaying on ice and rope manoeuvres
  • Assessing ice conditions and winter environment safety
  • Progression techniques both individually and as a rope team
