Economic Conditions

The prices indicated refer exclusively to the Guide’s fee and do not include, unless otherwise specified, other expenses such as meals and accommodation in mountain huts, bars, or hotels, ski lift tickets, or transfers.

Additional guide-related expenses and personal costs (meals, lodging, ski lifts, transfers, etc.) are the responsibility of participants and will be shared equally among them.

Certain activities require personal equipment (harnesses, helmets, ice axes, crampons, ARTVA devices, etc.). By contacting us, you can receive detailed information and check whether rental options are available, if not included in the package.

 

Booking and Payment Conditions

A deposit of 50% of the total fee is required at the time of booking, in agreement with our office (unless other arrangements are made between the organiser and the client).

Bookings made within three days of the activity require full prepayment.

Please note: only receipt of the deposit confirms your booking.

 

Cancellation and Refund Policy

  • Withdrawal more than 20 days before the activity: 5% of the deposit (2.5% of the fee) is retained.
  • Withdrawal 20–10 days before the activity: 50% of the deposit (25% of the fee) is retained.
  • Withdrawal 10–3 days before the activity: full deposit (50% of the fee) is retained.
  • Cancellation within 3 days of the activity: full payment of the service is required.
    If the organizer cancels the activity, participants may choose to:
  • Reschedule the same offer for a later date
  • Accept an offer of the same value
  • Accept a lower-priced offer (with a refund of the difference)
  • Cancel without any additional cost and receive a refund of the deposit

 

Program Changes During the Activity

The responsible Guide may change or cancel the program for justified reasons, including weather conditions, mountain conditions, participants’ physical condition, or safety concerns.

Alternative solutions may be offered, with any additional costs clearly indicated. Participants are free to accept or decline these alternatives.

If there is a difference between the agreed services and those actually provided, the organiser will refund the client up to the value of the difference.

 

Minimum Number of Participants

Group activities require a minimum number of participants to be confirmed, as stated on the activity page.

If the minimum is not reached, the activity may be cancelled, or participants may:

  • Pay an additional fee for a private Mountain Guide
  • Reschedule for another date

If neither option is possible, participants will receive a full refund.

 

Insurance Coverage

During all activities, participants are covered by the responsible Guide’s liability insurance (RCT), which protects clients against damages caused by proven negligence of the Guide.

Search, rescue, and recovery expenses are also covered.

Participants are strongly advised to hold personal accident insurance.

 

Equipment Rental

Participants are responsible for repair costs of rented equipment caused by damage beyond normal wear and tear. Lost equipment must be reimbursed.

Any activation, even accidental, of our ABS backpacks will be charged.

The Società Guide del Cervino is not liable for accidents caused by rented equipment.

 

Image Rights

The Società Guide del Cervino may use photos or videos taken during activities for promotional purposes.

Participants who do not wish to appear must notify the Guide Office or the assigned Guide before the activity begins.
